MPS World Languages Propay Cohort 2017 - 2018

Please consider joining 2017 - 2018 World Language Propay Cohort:

Effective Language Instruction, Teaching with Comprehensible Input

Instructors

  • Nancy Ledesma - MPS retired French teacher, mentor, master TPRS teacher
  • Ayumi Stockman - World Languages Content Specialist

Nothing motivates like success!  When the teacher makes the target language comprehensible to students, the students are engaged in learning, and they have more success in acquiring the target language.

Teaching with Comprehensible Input can make this happen.  In this cohort, you’ll:

·         learn about the SLA theories that inform the importance of comprehensible input

·         learn how to teach students necessary skills to acquire another language

·         master the basic strategies

·         plan how to apply this approach in your actual teaching.

Please fill out application form here and send to ayumi.stockman@mpls.k12.mn.us

Application is due on Friday, September 22, 2017.
